This is a very rare large oil painting featuring a study of a Lancashire Heeler dog with Pendle Hill in Lancashire in the background, fully signed by the artist bottom right W. Hobson and dating to circa 1970, this was a commissioned oil painting of apparently a well known dog.  It is a very well painted good quality oil painting in its original frame and backing, overall size including frame approx. 27" x 20" in very good original condition, with no damage or repairs.
